Data Definitions
Stock symbol – A unique symbol assigned to a security. NASDAQ symbols are four or five characters in length, NYSE symbols are one to three letters long, Amex symbols are two or three, and OTCBB are four or five.
Last Sale Price – The price at which a stock last traded during regular market hours as reported by the exchange, delayed by 15 to 20 minutes. Quoted in U.S. dollars and cents.
Net Change – The difference in the current last sale price and the previous days’ official closing price.
Percent Change - That amount in percentage terms that the last sale price for the stock has changed from the previous trading days’ official closing price.
Share Volume – The number of shares of the stock traded on the listing exchange during regular trading hours. It does not include pre-market or after hours volume.
